• I have in the makes a small media company whose purpose will be to acquire media content and then build a database of that content for private remixing into books, cd’s, magazines, dvd’s and other websites.

I believe that content is ruler and emperor of the mediums we ingest and with my prolific writing I would like to join with other writers to develop a space for content discussion and publication.

This is the beginnings of that site.

    What do you think?

Very interesting concept and I think the theme layout fits very well with your mission. There are three things I would consider changing.

First, if possible, you might want to put the search box at the top of the page (or have one at the top and bottom of the pages), it will help your audience find more articles than just the ones listed on the homepage – assuming your site will continue to grow in posts.

Secondly, you might want to have better ad control on your website. As I was looking throughout the pages, it seems that the ads seem to be all over the place. Some were in the left sidebar and content area and the Bio page had two on top of each other before even getting to the content of the page. I would set a limit on where and how many show up on a page. I would be consistent of placement and might even add a border around the ad area and put a very small ‘advertisement’ header to the area.

Lastly, on the posts I saw the buttons; Text, HTML, MS Word,…. on the right-hand side of the screen at the bottom of each post. If there was a way to put it in the sidebar next to the content, I think it would function and look better. If you want to keep it on the bottom then I would try to do a horizontal bar of the buttons instead of a vertical row.

Other than that the site is good. I like how the design is minimal and doesn’t distract from the content, which is the most important on this type of site.
