Support » Plugin: Page Builder Gutenberg Blocks – Kioken Blocks » Container row: How to edit/delete “Column n” text?

    Hi,

when creating container rows with n columns the columns start with a “Column 1”, “Column 2”, “Column n” paragraph. Whenever I try to change, edit or delete it via mouse click or arrow keys I just can’t access it. I always end up in the heading element of the block.

Switching to the code editor helps a bit but in columns where I only added a background image this “Column n” paragraph just comes back.

Maybe I do something wrong. Maybe it’s just intended as an indicator but the paragraph is visible in the final page, so…

    Can you help out?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

    Hi @eide,

Are you on Windows or a Mac? CMD or Ctrl + click lets you directly select any block in a column or container: https://share.getcloudapp.com/7KuxbJ6L

    Let me know.

    Thanks!

Oh now I understand. You need a column with nothing in it right?

Let me know if I got this right.

    Thanks!

    Hi Onur,
thanks for your lightning fast response.

I managed it this way now:
I clicked on the Gutenberg “Show more tools and options” element and activated the “Top Toolbar” mode.
Then I am able to better select the “Column n” paragraph and remove it (“Remove block”).

Somehow I was not able to select the element in my setup where “Column 1” is directly followed by another paragraph. “Human failure” that I did not play around with the “Top Toolbar” setting until just now…

    Bernd.

Ah, great to hear you resolved it!

We’ve also prepared a bunch of tips to improve the workflow with the editor, which you can find in our post about it: https://kiokengutenberg.com/essential-gutenberg-tips-to-improve-your-editor-workflow/

Enabling top toolbar is one of them 🙂

    Cheers,

Perfect. Right now your blocks are on my top list for recommending them to customers and I’m testing here and there. Some feedback in the pipe concerning margins and paddings in the responsive layout (mobile) but that will be part of another support ticket 🙂
    Cheers

Great to hear you like KB so far 🙂

Improving responsive spacings and typography for KB is something we constantly do for the plugin with every update.

So I have a feeling whatever you need is missing in terms of those for you right now is either already fixed or will be in the coming releases 🙂

    Thanks,
    Onur
