Support » Theme: evolve » Contact Page Emails Not Received

  • I am having an issue with the Contact page within the Theme Options. I have a page set up as a contact page. When I used the Contact page to send an email the email was not received into the mail box specified. I checked the spam folder too. I read in the forum documentation that there might be an issue with SMTP so I installed the WP-MAIL-SMTP plugin. Can you tell me what I need to do in order to receive the emails into my AOL email account from the Contact Form?

I made an attempt to send myself a test message but here is what happened:

    Test Message Sent
    The result was:
    bool(false)
The full debugging output is shown below:

Means you haven’t configured the plugin properly.

Try this plugin, it has a setup wizard you can run to help you figure out what to do.

Thanks…is it possible to remove the email addresses that I have posted in my posts…? I don’t want to get spammed.

The plug in you suggested says it is for Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo mail. The email account I am planning on receiving mail from the contact page is an AOL mail account.

mail not reliable? Postman is the first and only WordPress SMTP plugin to implement OAuth 2.0 for Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo Mail. Setup is a breeze with the Configuration Wizard and integrated Port Tester. Enjoy worry-free delivery even if your password changes!

Will this plugin work with AOL mail?

    Thanks.

I installed the plugin and activated, now I am going through the Wizard and it is asking for an API Key? How do I get an API Key ? Do I ask AOL for that?

I made an attempt to plug in the User Id and password without using the wizard but that didn’t work either.

When I attempt to use the plugin with your AOL address, it suggests the aol.com server with passwords.

Perhaps your web host does not allow you to connect to the AOL server directly and that is why the wizard won’t work for you.

    Who is your webhost?

Moderator: please remove the email address from this thread.

How many emails are we talking about here?

I think you can cull the majority of the very first post – it’s not relevant anyway.

I used a tool that I use to strip links out of posts. That’ll do pig.
