[resolved] Contact form titles out of alignment (9 posts)

    I would like the titles of each field to be aligned with each other http://www.mediarundigital.co.uk/contact-us/. As you can see some are indented and others aren't. I can't see anywhere in the salesforce options to change this. Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Try some left margin/padding (or text-align: center;) vs. text-align: right;

    If you right align text, you will get an inconsistent left indent...

    Hi Nick,

    Thanks for your reply. Do you suggest I put this in the "Styling" tab of that form in the setting? If so I can't see the element I need to edit.

    You already have style overrides in your stylesheet:

    font:16px Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
    float: left !important;

    I've bolded the part causing the issue -- you'd edit this block to change how labels are rendered.

    Thanks for the extra help. I just need to find where this code is in the back end. It's not in the CSS of my site...

    Thanks again! Playing around with styling in Chrome's "Inspect Element" it does seem the text-align:right; field is causing problems. Will take it out.

    Thanks for your help.

    I seemed to be having a similar problem with the contact form on my companies blog page. When I upgraded my wordpress theme Atahualpu to version 3.7.13 the 3, 4 and 5 positions on the contact form are now misaligned. The text box for someone to fill in their information now appears to the right of the label instead of underneath like the rest of the fields messing up the alignment. Here's our blog page so you can see what I mean.

    I've been trolling through support forums and trying to fix it myself but haven't found out how yet. Anything suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your help,

    Same answer: see the styling tab for how to override the CSS.

    The plugin does it's best to maintain its layout, but it can't support every theme (especially when that's a moving target).

    The 2.3 branch has some options that may work for you (i.e. per form label alignment options).

    2.3 should be released later this month. You can grab the development version here:
