Support » Fixing WordPress » Contact Form (on literally any plugin) looks compressed?

Hey there! Thanks in advance for any and all who answer. I already posted this in the Contact Form 7 forum, since that is the contact form I would *prefer* to use, but since this issue has shown up with several different contact form plugins, not just Contact Form 7, it might be just an overall problem I didn’t realise I made while toying with css?

I am not advanced in css at all and just began learning a few months ago, so I know I probably have some issues in my website that could’ve been avoided if I had learned more before beginning this project.

Unfortunately, now I am trying to input a contact form into my website, literally any contact form at this point, and it seems as if it has become compressed. It didn’t look like this a week ago. I trashed some themes I had worked with and decided to just go back to working from scratch on Elementor, but I have toyed with the css since then. It is only now that I am seeing I may have messed something up with the contact form somehow, even though I honestly haven’t touched it in a few weeks (or so I think?)

Sorry this is so long, I’ve just been racking my brain for a hot minute wondering what I could’ve possibly done wrong. See for yourself, it looks strange. And no, I haven’t done anything with the margins… at least not within the page itself, but if I somehow messed with the margins in css… who knows. Maybe you know, and for that, I thank you deeply if you do.

Anyways, thanks again for any and all help, it is greatly appreciated! 🙂

  • Hi,

It looks like the contact form is in the sidebar. Is the shortcode for the contact form placed in the body of that page?
