    Hello,

Seems the contact form on my site is no longer working, i know it worked before but I can’t seem to get a valid message to go through.

I’ve tried creating a brand new form but got the same results, removed the captcha, no difference.

Any ideas as to what is causing this?

Yea this doesn’t really answer my question or address the issue, yes there’s a red border and the notification shown in the link provide BUT even with a brand new form? with the auto values that your system creates?

I’ve used the auto check system and it verifies that all forms are configured properly, there are no invalid forms.

So it should go through.. but it’s not.

    yes there’s a red border

The red error border confirms that CF7 is not able to send an email from your site. It’s likely that WordPress in general is not able to send emails from your website as well.

See Setting Up Mail – there is a link to an article I wrote at the bottom of that page (which is recommended by the CF7 plugin author, though I’m not allowed to link directly to it here) that covers this topic in detail. Most people that work carefully through this list of email sending issues are able to solve their particular problems.

Well as mentioned before, the contact form used to work and now it does not.

So the conclusion that “CF7 is not able to send an email from your site” is wrong or else it would have never worked.

Continuously linking me to pretty much the same tutorial, is not useful.

As I already mentioned, i have confirmed all forms are properly configured and they should work as desired. The plugin simply wont send emails anymore since i upgraded the plugin.

I’ve tried adjusting the fields mentioned in the “Setting up mail” with no luck, nothing i do on my end pertaining to changing configuration, settings, etc., fixes the problem.

Which is why i have to conclude that the issue lies with the plugin itself.

I’ve tried disabling other plugins that interact with CF7 and ones that do not, nothing is blocking it/interupting it, etc. and CF7 is the only plugin on my site that’s giving me issues.

So this is something you need to look into more and not just link me to tutorials, which i’m already aware of and are not useful for fixing this issue.

So the conclusion that “CF7 is not able to send an email from your site” is wrong or else it would have never worked.

Sorry but your conclusion is invalid. Every day 100’s of CF7 users, from all around the world, notice that CF7 emails are no longer sending on sites that previously sent without problems.

CF7 has 5+ million active users so it’s logical that many users would have similar problems due to different issues on their particular sites each day.

In your case I suspect you have a general WP email sending problem. Something changed somewhere on your WP install, that you may not even know about, that caused this problem.

If you want more assistance, you should do the very first step Test if your WordPress installation is able to send emails in the tutorial I keep linking to & report here what happens.

So since you’re conclusion is wrong, I went ahead and proved it by disabling contact form 7 and installed a different contact form plugin, it worked right out of the box, no issues, no errors, simply filled out the contact form, pressed send and the result is, i received the email no problem in my admin email.

Considering the drastic results based on plugin used, I’ll have to say you’re conclusion is not correct and it’s easy to tell, the issue was with Contact form 7 itself.

If it wasn’t, then the other plugin would not have worked so easily.

I suggest looking into this issue further as it seems to be a very common issue with your plugin, yet you deny it’s a developer issue and state it is a user issue.

Well i just proved that wrong 😛 heh work on it.
