• Hi,

I’ve tried using a couple of different contact forms, but whenever I test them, and I’ve tried on several email accounts both on yahoo and on google, they all end up in my temp folder in a error-mail folder.

If I just insert an email address using mailto: as the link, it arrives no problem.

I’ve even added a ‘wordpress” alias.

I’m considering just using an obfuscated e-mail link for people to contact me.

Still, I’m wondering what the problem is. I use yahoo as a host and the prosumer theme.

    MYSITE

BTW, the contact forms I’ve tried are WP-contact and also the one with askimet protection.

    thanks

    sorry for the bump

I’m facing a similar problem using WordPress 2.3.3

Any contact form plugin I install, activates without error and shows the contact form without error on the page I want it. After filling the form and sending the mail, it even shows the “thank you mail sent” message. But I havent been able to get a single email through it yet.

If anyone can help, here’s my contact form located:
    http://lughole.net/contact

PS: Is it because of the latest wordpress release? All contact forms worked when I was using WP 2.2

I just realized that the problem is not with the contact forms but with wordpress itself. I never get any notifications which wordpress should be mailing me..for example, comments in moderation etc. Really..no one has a fix for this?

I think Yahoo hosting somehow is blocking it.

    I’ve got the same problem.

Many of my clients are small business or marketing clients. Many of them want different interactive features included in their blog setup – like the WP Contact Form, the Email Subscription form, the “Email this post to a friend” – – all of those are plugins developed for WordPress – – but none of them work on Yahoo! hosting. I don’t know the technical details of it all – but it seems to be in the way Yahoo! processes plugins that require email notification. The contact form plugins looks good – and looks like it should work – – but doesn’t. The user never gets the email that is sent with the contact form (as a note: when this client moved to a new hosting company, the contact form worked like a charm.) The very same can be said for the “Notify subscribers of new posts” and “Email this post to a friend” plugins – – didn’t work on Yahoo – – works just fine on other hosts without any configuration changes to the software or plugins. (I have been told that these ‘mail’ and ‘notification’ plugins will only work with Yahoo if the email address set in them has the same domain name as the blog, itself. I have yet to test this out – but, again, users should be able to use whatever email they want in their tools, no?)

    I don’t think it’s Yahoo…
I am hosting multiple domains at Bulk register.. and mail is working with other apps.. WordPress is not working with 2.7. Will try earlier and report back

Let me correct my last post… After about an hour, 2.7 sent the registration mail. (It fired off as I was inspecting the crontab settings on the site). I have never received the registration email from V2.6.1…
