I’m having the same problem at poppyx. The message appears to be sent successfully, but never shows up in my gmail inbox. I read the link from Takayuki Miyoshi but I need some ideas on how to resolve the problem.
How do I check the log of my mail server?
Good question poppyx. I just shot you an email using your form at evanstonpremier.com. Holler if it came through by chance.
Checked my mail server log, and saw this:

Any ideas on how to solve the problem?
poppyx, to check mail server, log into FTP, then click on Maildir>new. At least that’s where I found mine.
I will take a look at the Maildir>new file now. Thannks!
Hi 7storiesdeep,
I don’t know if you figured out the problem but I finally got it the Contact form 7 to work after talking to Dreamhost. Dreamhost has a policy that you have to have an email address set up with Dreamhost and this is the address that you have to put in the “From” box in your settings for the Contact 7 plug-in. Who would have guessed? Anyway, to create your new Dreamhost email address go to this link below and then enter the new email address in the settings.https://panel.dreamhost.com/index.cgi?tree=mail.addresses&
(Panel > ‘Manage Emails’)Hope this works!
Thanks poppyx. That worked! Glad you figured it out too. Man, this stuff is rough sometimes. Enjoy your evening!
Hi all, I am having very similar issuues to the above. Using WordPress 3.1.4 and contact form version 2.4.5. – Green successful box yet no e-mail received.
I recently added a new form to my site, tested the form and noticed no e-mail had been received, tried it again and still nothing received. So tested the others to discover none work. I have tried several e-mail addresses in the ‘to’ field within the ‘Mail’ section to test if there was a problem with an account but after using four e-mail addressses still no form received, and nothing in spam box either.
One of these is a btinternet e-mail. I have logged in, checked the spam filter settings but nothing stands out as being problematic and the blacklist doesn’t contain anything linked to my domain. I have done this for my hotmail account and still nothing in spam, filter or black/white list. I have also been in touch with my personal hosting company. They can see the form has been ‘clicked / submitted’ and it all appears okay from their side so their technical support have got to investigate.
The last form I received was about a month ago. I have not altered any settings other than the e-mail ‘to’ fields and am now struggling to see whats going wrong? Could it be the version of contact form and wordpress?
May anybody be able to assist with this please?
Thanks in advace.
