Please make child theme and create home-contact.php in child theme directory.
Now copy code from LINK and paste to home-contact.php that you have created in child theme directory.
Save the changes.
Now check it again.

I also tried adding the code from the LINK and still the required fields Name and Email are not working from iPhone or Ipad touch.
