We are getting a ton of spam with WP Forms, so I loaded this contact form and WP Bruiser.

I set up the form actions to email me the form:
    Form Actions
Send Email — From [EMAIL]. To linda@synergymarketingmix.com.

But when I test it, nothing is coming thru. The two tests are sitting there in Submissions, but it’s not emailing me the form.

    What am I missing?
    Thanks!
    Linda

  • Hi I’m not from HTML Forms, but you probably need to setup SMPT. Try to follow this tutorial https://wpforms.com/how-to-securely-send-wordpress-emails-using-gmail-smtp/.

    Hey Linda,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Can you please install the following plugin and test with it to see if emails are sent from your WordPress installation?

Since there have been no replies for awhile I will now mark this topic as “resolved”. If you are still experiencing this issue or you have a similar problem, please create a NEW topic. Thank you!

We changed the admin contact info and added a cc to the form action, “email” and now no emails are being sent when the form is submitted. I can see when the form entries come into the Initial Contact Information, but no email is sent. I have tested email with Confirm Action Request in Tools and the email is sent and received successfully. What am I missing here? Why are the emails not being sent from the form on Submit?

    Hello,

Can you please install the plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/check-email/ and test if emails are sent using it?

I used the Check email plugin and the mail was sent but not received.

    Hey David,

This means there is an issue with your WordPress setup. This can also be related to your server. Please contact your web host and ask them if PHP Mail is setup correctly.

Thank you for your help Harish. Two things were discovered; The SMTP plugin needed to be installed due to our Exchange environment and the Admin email needed to be one that was created on the web host server as the form was created there. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
