Hey Contact Form Team,

Am using Contact Form 7 plugin (free version) to build forms on my website. In mail Tab of the email showing the next error “Sender email address does not belong to the site domain”. Has this error misconfiguration led to any mail delivery failure or other troubles.

Anyone please help me out.

in short: if your website is hosted into xyz.com also your mail need to be a@xyz.com
the only exception is the smtp, that override this behaviour so in that case you can skip this check

Hai @codekraft,

Thanks for the quick response. My website hosted at the Pantheon and my mail-id is different. The only concern I have is whether this error will affect other features or not. If mail delivery does not succeed after publication.

hi @spandy417

no it’s simply an alert because if you use php mailer and you don’t have set correctly the domain you will never receive the mail from the contact form.

while you receive the emails everything is fine of course

I receive contact form emails and information stored in the database. I believe my contact form is working well.
