[Resolved] Contact Form 7 – Says it sent, but we receive nothing!

  • Hi all –

I’m having a very strange issue with Contact Form 7. As of last night – all of the contact forms on our website stopped working. To clarify – when you send something through the form, you get the green confirmation box that the message has been sent – but nothing ever comes through on our end.

I’ve checked the email addresses these forms direct to – and they all work fine. After noticing the problem this morning, I updated the Contact Form 7 plugin to the latest version (2.3) – and the problem still persists.

If anyone has any ideas, here – it would be greatly appreciated! So far, I’ve just deactivated and reactivated the plugin to no effect. I’m hoping I don’t have to rebuild these forms!

    Many thanks.

    -James

Just delaying or mail server configuration changed. Ask your server support.

    Thanks Takayuki –

I contacted my host. They say they uploaded a sample mail script that delivered a test message right away in addition to advancing the sent mail count on the mail server.

. . . They say something must be conflicting in the script. I don’t understand it. The form had been working perfectly up until last night.

    Any other thoughts?

I take it back. . . whatever my host did on their end (though claiming not to have made any changes) seems to have fixed the issue. Our forms are now sending successfully.

(Thank goodness, too. I’m a Contact Form 7 fan – would have hated to have to change to something else!)
