tried another test page and another contact form,
clean and simple contact form….
still nothing…
Have you tried a different theme and seen if the issue happens there as well? Are you running any plugins that provide custom short codes? Are you seeing any error messages?
hi Bemdesign,
I am not in charge of the “theme” that will be used, I’m only the “web assistant” but have been tasked with finding out why the contact form won’t work.
I don’t get any error messages, and normal text, etc… shows on the page.
I’m really stuck here.
One of WordPresse’s troubleshooting tips is to turn off all plugins and resort to a default WordPress theme (like twentythirteen). If everything works good there, you can then turn on your custom theme and see if everything works with that. If that passes, then you start turning on plugins one-at-a-time and see if anything happens there. At any point in this process if you see an issue, take note of what you have enabled (themes, plugins) at that point.
Then we might have more of a clue on weather it’s the theme or a different plugin that’s not playing nice with Contact Form 7.
from my research that was my first choice, to turn off all the plugins one by one and see which one conflicted, but was told to try anther contact form.
Well if you can’t disable things to test, then there’s no point in asking why one plugin isn’t working because we can’t gather enough information.
It’s clear that, your plugin contact form 7 is disabled.

For Contact Form 7 plugin support you really want to post in the correct sub-forum.
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/contact-form-7#postform
That will improve the odds of your topic being seen by the right folks.
Thanks everyone for all your feedback, I will post in the proper place.
and yes Bemdesign I agree, I’m very stuck.
