  • I was trying to change a submit button color and put a line in the following .php file. When it didn’t work, I took it out but am getting this error message. Don’t know how to fix. Now my website won’t load up. HELP!

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/metallistinc/metallistinc.com/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/modules/submit.php on line 92

  • If you are able to access the Dashboard of your WordPress site, you can try disabling the Contact Form 7 plugin. You may need to remove and re-install it.

If you cannot access the Dashboard you will have to delete the files in located in /home/metallistinc/metallistinc.com/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/ manually. You can do this via an FTP client to your web server, or by using your web host’s file manager.

Once these are removed you should be able to load your site and access the Dashboard to re-install the plugin.

    Thanks
