Contact Form 7 First Line In Email Body Is Blank

    Hi,

    I have checked for answers to this in the FAQ and support forum, but I can’t seem to find an answer. My contact form has the following fields:

    Name
    Email
    Subject
    Message
    Captcha
    Submit

    All fields are required. In the message body dialog box I have:

    [your-message]

    This email was sent from the contact us form at http://www.bakefestgalway.com/contact-us/

    In the email that I get from the form, there is a blank line first in the message body and this is bugging me.

    There is no space before the [your-message] and I have the exclude lines with blank mail-tags from output tick box checked, even though all fields are required. If I tick the use HTML content type checkbox, the issue goes away, but the email text formatting looks very basic this way and hyperlinks don’t work then.

    Can anyone help me to resolve this?

    Thank you for your quick response! 🙂
    I had read that post beforehand, but that unfortunately didn’t help me!
    The [your-message] is posting to the email body, it’s just the blank line beforehand it that is bugging me.
    The message body section looks like this in the plugin:

    **********Top Of Message Body Input Box In Plugin**********
    [your-message]

    This email was sent from the contact us form at:
    http://www.bakefestgalway.com/contact-us/

    **********Top Of Email Body In The Received Email**********
    <<<*****This Is The Blank Line I Don’t Want*****
    Hi,
    This is sample text in the body section of the email.
    Thanks,
    Joe Bloggs

    Instead, I would like to get it like the following:

    **********Top Of Email Body In The Received Email**********
    Hi, <<<*****This Is How I Want It With No Blank Line*****
    This is sample text in the body section of the email.
    Thanks,
    Joe Bloggs

    So the message body is posting, but with that blank first line that I don’t want.
    I am using the latest version of WordPress and the latest version of the plugin.
    It was the same before I updated from WordPress 3.9.***

    Try deactivating all other plugins and switching to the default theme.
