  • Hello @nims:

When I inspect the popup at https://www.newindianmodels.com/top-10-modelling-agencies-in-delhi (ID: popmake-46930; slug-name: ‘capture-details’), I don’t see any dropdown menus. Only text and email input fields, and 3 checkboxes.

When you write: “…and the dropdown for selecting one field in the form”, what are you referring to?

Hi … the reason is it is a live website and I had to remove dropdown and use exclusive checkboxes.
I have created a post to test this. pls see https://www.newindianmodels.com/test-popup/

    Hello @nims:

I just inspected your popup on your test site. It appears to me that the issue has to do with the setup and performance of Contact Form 7 inside Popup Maker. Our plugin creates the container for the form plugin, but it does not control the performance of the form in the container. I think it best that you consult the documentation for CF7 to ensure that you’ve set up their form properly.

As an alternative, you may consider using Ninja Forms (available for free from the WordPress.org plugin repository). They have a ‘multi-select’ feature as a common field built into their plugin. The plugin is also well documented.

    Thanks for quick reply.
I have now added the same form in the post and it works perfectly fine.
It’s just that it fails to work with popup maker.
So I guess I can’t ask contact form 7 guys to rectify as it works well otherwise.
    It’s just your plugin’s issue.
If you could please have a look.

    Hello @nims:

Have you tested Popup Maker, Contact Form 7, and WordPress v4.9 in a stand alone test site (free of any other possible influences)? See if the problem is reproduced in that environment.

As I said earlier, we don’t provide direct support for the setup of 3rd party plugins. If the problem persists in the remotely hosted, bare-bones temporary WP test site, then let us know and provide us a link to the test site.

The other thing to consider (and I don’t know how well this is documented by CF7) is that their options field may not work except in a post or page post_type. [Popups are registered under a ‘popup’ post_type in the wp_posts database table.]

As I wrote before, Ninja Forms has a multi option selector field provided in their plugin, and that plugin is also free. Switch up the plugin and see if you can get the option drop down field to work in your popup. We are a NF affiliate, and provide support for their products.
