Support » Plugin: Contact Form 7 » contact 7 not sending me messages from my websites contact form

  • I am running two wordpress websites that use contact form 7. I have set them up and provided an email address for the contact form 7 to use. The email address goes in the to field if I believe to be correct. I created my forms and put them in my website. when i try to send a test email the message below the contact form says everything was ok but I do not get the message in my inbox or in my spam folder.

    Any help

  • It sounds like you have it setup correctly. Is it spelled correctly? That’s always the easiest thing to start with. I’ve been using the plugin for a couple years without issue.

what hosting company are you using? sometimes, The From field needs to be an address from your domain, not someone else’s domain– this is set by hosting company to avoid spoofing.

for example, i’m with dreamhost, so I had to leave the “from” field blank and it worked fine.

I fixed the problem by using an email address on the hosting server (i.e. in the From field. I then added “Reply-To: [your-name] <[your-email]>” in the Additional Headers field, so that when I reply to an email, it goes to the person who sent it (not
