# Constructor theme – page attributes – template

 * Hi,
    I’m trying to edit the monocolumn template and apply it to one page of my
   site. When I edit template-monocolumn.php it doesn’t work as expected. I deleted
   the header and the footer – good, it works. Then I deleted the page title and
   links (you know, comments, date, edit link) but they still show up on the page.
   I got rid of the title by not entering a title on the page, which is going to
   cause problems later, but at least it’s not showing up, but the links still show.
 * I deleted the title and links div’s on the monocolumn template but they’re clearly
   coming from somewhere else. This is driving me absolutely bonkers. Where is this
   stuff coming from? I just want the content of the page to show, no header, no
   footer, no title – nothing. Just the content.
 * I tried creating a new page template but it doesn’t show in the dropdown list
   in page attributes, so that was futile as well. I tried removing the links and
   title by post id and element in css, but they still show up. Please help!
