Even while a site is in Construction mode, it is still required in Germany to have an Impressum and Datenschutz page.

However, when in Construction mode, all URLs redirect to the Construction page.

Is it possible to somehow identify pages that the construction redirects should ignore?

If not, please advise and I will add as a feature request via Github.

    Thanks,
    Atg

  • This is not possible

Additionally, when using maintenance mode, a custom login page built with Elementor also do not work.

I’d personally hoped for a better answer than “not possible” but I’d like to add that this is not “impossible” for the record, the redirect filter can indeed be overridden…but the template_include filter found in /elementor/includes/maintenance-mode.php has the highest priority value of 1 which makes it hard to remove and add in your own with special conditions.

If it was say, 10, then you could remove the filter and provide your own with a priority of 5, right within your theme’s functions.php.

I’d definitely use maintenance mode more often but honestly I never use it anymore specifically because of this.

I like to wow my clients with the custom login page and a /design-style page as well while everything else gets redirected. I just write my own maint mode instead.

@benpines: “This is not possible” is not accurate; it absolutely is possible, but might be something that is currently not possible… As stated earlier, I will add this as a feature request.

@pingram3541: Thanks for the deeper-dive, appreciate the time, have you added that as a feature request in their GitHub?
