I’m trying to change the text on the Constant Contact opt in box and the plugin is not showing the option to do that. On the CC form they suggested I try reaching out here. Can anyone please help.
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
FYI- in the plug in options, there is a section called “Email Opt In”, but it does not show the option to do it. It just says, ” Enabling this option will require users to check a box to be added to your list – Learn more”
Are you not seeing a “Opt-in Affirmation” textarea that says “Example: Yes, I would like to receive emails from Constant Contact. (You can unsubscribe anytime)” by default? I assume that’s the text you want to update correct?
Otherwise, do you mean the “By submitting this form, you are consenting to receive marketing emails from: . You can revoke your consent to receive emails at any time by using the SafeUnsubscribe® link, found at the bottom of every email. Emails are serviced by Constant Contact” content that shows up below the sign up button?
If yes for that last part, then there’s an “Alternative Disclaimer Text” field in Contact Form > Settings > General tab at the bottom, to customize that text.
Thanks for replying. I’m trying to change, “Yes, I would like to receive emails from Constant Contact.” On ours at the bottom of smithlifehomecare.com, it says our name, but Smith Life and it’s SmithLife. Also by making it shorter I think it will show up better on mobile.
Anyway, in the plugin, this section “Email Opt In” does not have the fields to change it. There is nothing in that section. It only says ” Enabling this option will require users to check a box to be added to your list – Learn more” I tried attaching an image here, but it’s not working. Nothing seems to be working today = (
The content for “Yes, I would like to receive emails from Smith Life Homecare. (You can unsubscribe anytime)” is coming from here:
We pull the “Constant Contact” from my screenshot from the “Site Title” field in Settings > General from your WordPress settings. However this overall value is just a default, that you should be able to change to read whatever you want for the checkbox label.
I checked the site title and it’s SmithLife but the checkbox message says Smith Life. That unfortunately didn’t work because the site title is correct.
As for the plug in setting (override), in the Email Opt-in section, I do not have those two fields (options); I do not see opt-in checkbox or opt-in affirmation. Both, on mobile and desktop, I only see “Email opt-in” and “Enabling this option will require users to check a box to be added to your list – Learn more”. The options following are not there for me.

Issues were stemming from issues around established connection and list availability. Once we had the connection re-established, and lists properly imported in, the rest of the UI was showing up like expected.
