Make sure that the email address you input is unique. If the same address already exists in Constant Contact’s list, the request will be ignored.
Thanks for the quick response, but I’ve tried a few different email addresses with the same results. None of them show in Constant Contact.

What content do you have in the Form tab panel?
I’ve tried with and without the acceptance field, but here’s what’s in one of the forms currently:
[acceptance your-consent consent_for:constant_contact default:on]
<label>
[email* your-email placeholder “Enter your email”] </label>
[submit “Subscribe”]

Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, and clearing all cache data.
Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.
Tried deactivating all plugins and using 2021 theme and still the same issue.
OK. The surest way to determine the reason for the API failure is to check the error logs. Activate the debug mode (WP_DEBUG
and WP_DEBUG_LOG
) and try submitting the form again.
Thanks. I received HTTP Response: 401 Unauthorized {“error_key”:”unauthorized”,”error_message”:”Unauthorized”} in ../contact-form-7/includes/functions.php on line 441. I regenerated a new keys and reauthorized (although plugin had said I was connected to CC) and that seems to have fixed the issue.
Glad to know you could resolve the issue. Don’t forget to deactivate the debug mode constants since they are not recommended to use on a live site.
