Consistant Problems with Installation

  • wwfisher

    I’ve been having trouble with a particular installation of WordPress.

    I’ve now installed WordPress twice (once manually, once via Fantastico) and both times I have received errors regarding wp-setting.php.

    The errors have a varied but the current one is

    ‘Warning: require_once(/home/tuxedoca/public_html/wp-settings.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/tuxedoca/public_html/wp-config.php on line 90

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/tuxedoca/public_html/wp-settings.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/tuxedoca/public_html/wp-config.php on line 90′

    The website will work fine for a couple of days (refreshing cache over and over again) then will just break.

    I’ve also had issues with the deletion or lack of creation of a .htaccess file.

    The only thing I can think of that is happening is files are being edited/deleted server side.

    Has anyone had any issues with anything similar to this?

    Has anyone got any solutions?

    Woops… to correct the issues appears to be with wp-config.php

    Problems solved for now. Replaced wp-settings.php file. Still investigating whether the deletion of file is server side or user side.
