# Connectivity Error – Cannot resolve host

 * Getting this error when trying to connect to the API servers:
 * Curl HTTP status: 0
    Curl error code: 6 Curl Error: Couldn’t resolve host ‘noc1.
   wordfence.com’
 * I can ping that host name, so seems like something else. WP just updated to 4.0.1.
   Other options seem to be working/saving okay.
 * Current Wordfence Version 5.3.3

 * We’ve heard of hosters not having the php curl module installed before. I also
   just checked and haven’t got any alerts from our system monitoring. Can you try
   the connectivity test (on the bottom of the options page) again?

 * From the Sys config test that I ran shows this for curl:
 * cURL support enabled
    cURL Information 7.19.7
 * Memory test shows this:
 * Test complete – 80.25 megabytes of memory

 * Was looking more for the php stuff. You are on shared hosting right?
 * You might have to ask your web host’s staff to see why you wouldn’t be able to
   curl noc1. The ip’s for it are available here:
