# Connection problems with Mailchimp

 * I’ve created a knew API key in Mailchimp and tried to use it in the first settings
   step to connect with Mailchimp.
    But it doesn’t do anything, I don’t go to step
   2 and it doesn’t connect.
 * What is the problem?

   be going on here. Could you please reply back with the following information?
 * – What version of MailChimp List Subscribe are you using?
    – Are you seeing any
   error messages when trying to get to step 2, or what exactly is happening that
   is indicating that the plugin isn’t connecting? – Could you reply back here with
   a screenshot of what you see there? – What version of WordPress is being used?
