It sure sounds like the port or IP is being blocked. Can you try another email account with different settings? Does your Arvixe account come with an email account?

Yes, it seems like the port is being blocked.
I tried a different gmail account and a yahoo account with no luck.
I did get the Arvixe account to work on port 110 but I got 20 posts of the same email!
I have contacted my ISP. Everything is clear with them and Arvixe says port 995 is open.

I am having problems. I tried to update Postie but got an out of memory alert. Troed a couple of times but got the same so I uninstalled/removed and downloaded the Zip of Postie and uploaded that to my wordpress site but got the same again as follows
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2237887 bytes) in /home/appointi/public_html/site/wp-admin/includes/class-pclzip.php on line 4215
You need to configure php to allow more memory.
You mean on my server?
I have a dedicated server. It shouldn’t be an issue but I will check

I keep getting
