    Hi --

I'm struggling with installing a plug in. I am trying to download a plug in to allow people to subscribe to my blog, and I get stuck at a Connection Information page requesting Host name, User Name, and Password.

I have tried a variety of combos, and nothing works. Any clues what info I need to use, or how to circumnavigate the problem?

Thanks for any help anyone can offer!

It is the login info you used for your server that you are hosting wordpress on.

How did you install wordpress on yoursite?

My sister in law installed wordpress through her portals, or whatever terms apply. The site name is mine, hosted by her xxxxxx -- I really am lost in the language here. I need to find another helper to guide me through code land.

In the meantime, is the Host Name the place where the ftp info would go, and then I'd need specific username and password for that ftp?

    Thanks for helping me!

Thanks again -- apparently I have no ftp info at the moment because of the way my blog was installed. The fix can be made, but I just want to make sure that this is what I need to do -- or rather what my sister in law needs to do so I can get a blog subscription.

From what I have read, I think that this is the case -- but does anyone know any other way around getting a blog subscription widget on a non-wordpress hosted blog?
