• Hi, I’m trying to install a plugin called feedwordpress and it is giving me a connection information page which I do not know what to type in:

To perform the requested action, WordPress needs to access your web server. Please enter your FTP credentials to proceed. If you do not remember your credentials, you should contact your web host.

    Hostname
    FTP Username
    FTP Password
Connection Type Connection Type FTP FTPS (SSL)

This is on a localhost so I do not have a Hostname nor username.

I am also running on a mac, can anyone please help me?

  • That means you can’t do automatic installations. You have to download the plugin zip, and place the unzipped folder into your wp-content/plugins folder (manual installation of plugins).

The alternative is to try to fix it, which means you have to try to change permissions in your plugins folder.
