Connection Appears to Work Nothing there

So I finally got the API and Calendar ID to connect but there is nothing on the “calendar” page. Is it supposed to be a listing of events or the actual calendar?
I have been trying to get off of The Events Calendar for years but have not found a Google Calendar alternative that would work. Any thoughts?

Two points that weren’t covered well in the video about installation.
In WordPress.org, you have to create a Page with the calendar id – it should look something like this:
[calendar id=”1023″]
Just that in the body of the page. The subject line is Calendar.And then you have to go to Appearance, Menus and put the calendar on the menu.
I have my link in a nav bar. I see that there may be more flexibility using Widgets. (newest install of WordPress)
