    Good Day!

I’m in the process of setting up Site Kit. For some reason, while connecting the app is labeling my website property as “Undefined”. I’ve seen many connect with Site Kit and their actual website address labeled correctly.

States “ To verify that you own UNDEFINED and help set up your Search Console, SiteKit.withgoogle.com wants to access UNDEFINED and your Google account data.”

    And so on…

If one knows, Why is this? How would I correct it?

    Thank Max!

@similarfrequencies83 Many thanks for sharing. While nothing immediately stands out from the information provided I noticed an SSO MU plugin active, which I believe is hosting related. Can you inform me whether you used your hosting panel to login to your WordPress site?

If you’d like to attempt setup once more please follow the steps below:

    1. Temporarily switch your “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” from https://yourwebsite.com to http://yourwebsite.com in your WordPress General Settings configuration. (please replace yourwebsite.com with your own website name)
    2. Log back into your site once requested and then undo the changes you made (reverting back to the full address with https
    3. Open a browser incognito window
    4. Attempt setup once more

@similarfrequencies83 Just following up with you on this issue. We’ve been able to recreate this experience and it looks like it occurs when there is no site name defined when using the WordPress customizer, or in some cases theme configuration.

Many thanks for identifying this issue, we’ll work on a way to improve the notice going forward. In the meantime please inform me whether you were able to proceed with setup as expected, despite the notice.

@similarfrequencies83 since we have not heard from you, I am marking your topic as resolved. If you need further assistance, please feel free to open a new support topic.
