Under ‘Plugins’ in WordPress it says that JetPack 2.9.3 is installed but when I go to connect JetPack to my WordPress it says that I don’t have the current version of JP installed. Although, my WP says it is current. How come I can’t get this connected?

    Please help.

We’re digging into a potential an error on our end that returned that error message that you saw more often than it should. Can you confirm you’re using the right user name and password for the login.

The user name and password requested is for, not your site’s login information. If you don’t have a account you can sign up for one for free at

Thanks for responding Brandon. I am most definitely using my WP login and password. NOT my site’s login info which is through GoDaddy. I am using the WP login and pw. I’d LOVE to get this going…How long do you think it will take for the error to be fixed?

Also, when I log into WP it takes me to a JP link to get my site connected, when I click that green button link, and enter my wp login and pw it says “your JP is outdated, please download current version” but I promise you, its current.

Can you drop us a note at and include the e-mail address and the user name you’re using to login to, mentioning my name?

Since we’re diving into account issues, it is best to continue this privately versus in the public forum.

Thank you, JUST sent it. I appreciate your help.
