Connect to new site – SERVER_ERROR NO: 5 MSG:

How do I delete the connection to an old version of our website and connect the new, updated website? The URL is the same.

We just built a new site and I’m trying to connect cleantalk anti spam to it. When I plug in the access code, it says

“SERVER_ERROR NO: 5 MSG: An account connected to the website jasminelaw.net already exists”

But I’m already logged into the site and don’t need to reset the password. When I click the button it sends an email asking to reset the password – but we’re in.

Hello @cohenshana,

Enter your access key into the plugin and click the “Save Changes” button, not the “Get Access Key” button. Your access keys are here: https://cleantalk.org/my/

I did that first. The full error message is

Feb 06 2025 13:59:27: Error occurred while automatically get Access key. SERVER_ERROR NO: 5 MSG: An account connected to the website jasminelaw.net already exists. Please restore access to the account here: https://cleantalk.org/my/reset_password?forgotten_email=1

In this case, try clicking “Synchronize with Cloud” in the plugin settings, wait until the rotating icon disappears and refresh the page.

Where is that – I don’t usually see that button available until I’ve connected.

This setting is located above the key input field.
