Hi @jennwin
Thanks for reaching out, I see that you’re having concerns connecting to your Google Merchant account with the spinning wheel not leading anywhere.
As a first step, could you try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser to see if this helps. It could be a visual issue brought by outdated cached data. If that doesn’t do the trick, could you check if any ad blockers are active? Sometimes they can interfere with the connection process.
Let me know how it goes.
I have tried that it is not working, I even tried a new browser. I also diabled all plugins it still is not working. I have looked in the logs and have found this error in the log file google-listings-and-ads-2024-12-19
2024-12-19T15:27:52+00:00 Error Automattic\WooCommerce\GoogleListingsAndAds\API\Google\Ads::get_account_details { "message": "The caller does not have permission", "code": 7, "status": "PERMISSION_DENIED", "details": [ { "@type": "type.googleapis.com\/google.ads.googleads.v16.errors.GoogleAdsFailure", "errors": [ { "errorCode": { "authorizationError": "CUSTOMER_NOT_ENABLED" }, "message": "The customer account can't be accessed because it is not yet enabled or has been deactivated." } ],
I have logged into the ads account i am trying to connect to and it is active, there is no problems with it.
Also the same email address is being used on my Jetpack, WordPress, and Google Listings and Ads. Is there a way to see if it is an API error on your plugins part?

I am having the exact same issue. I have cleared the cache and even tried a different browser. I saw a quick pop up that said something like could not retireive Google information. It dissapeared quickly and I could not take a screenshot. Stuck on Configure product listings, I let it try for over 4 hours with no luck. No ad blockers.
I was able to try again and got the screen shot.
Hi @jennwin
Thanks for the extra details and for checking those possible issues, really helpful. The error in your log points to a permissions problem with Google’s API. Even though your account is active, the error suggests that our plugin might not have the right permissions to access your Google Ads account.
Kindly try these three steps to resolve it:
1. Recheck the API permissions for our plugin within your Google Account to ensure it has the necessary access.
- Go to your Google Cloud Platform console at https://console.cloud.google.com/
- Select the project associated with your WooCommerce store.
- Navigate to the ‘APIs & Services’ > ‘Credentials’ panel.
- Look for the credentials used by the WooCommerce Google Listings and Ads plugin and check if they have the correct access levels. This usually means having a role that allows access to the Google Ads API and Google Merchant Center API.
2. Disconnect and reconnect your Google Merchant and Google Ads accounts within the plugin, making sure to follow all authorization prompts carefully.
- Go to the WooCommerce dashboard on your WordPress site.
- Click on ‘Marketing’ and then ‘Google for WooCommerce’.
- If you see your Google Merchant Center or Google Ads account listed, click ‘Disconnect’ for each.
- After disconnecting, follow the process to connect your accounts again, ensuring you provide all the necessary permissions when prompted.
- Log in to the Google account with administrative rights to your Google Merchant Center, and make sure you select the correct account if you manage more than one.
3. If you have multiple Google accounts, double-check that you are logged into the correct one that has admin rights to your Google Merchant Center.
- Ensure that you’re logged into the Google account that has administrative rights to the Merchant Center.
- If you’re uncertain which account this is, you can check by going to https://merchants.google.com/ and observing which account is managing the Merchant Center.
- Sign out of any other Google accounts to avoid any conflict during the authorization process.
Let me know how it goes after following these steps.
I have logged into my google cloud console, there are no projects there. I navigated to ‘APIs & Services’ > ‘Credentials’ panel – there is nothing there as well.
Hello JennWin,
Thank you for your reply.
Could you go to example.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=connection-test-admin-page (replacing example.com with your domain) and share a screenshot with me?
Please make sure you are logged into the same Google account mentioned on the above page.
Once I have more information, I will be in a better position to assist you further.
Best regards.
here it is
Hello JennWin,
Thank you for sharing screenshot.
It looks like the Google for WooCommerce setup was not completed properly.
Could you try the Setup and Configuration steps again? After that recheck the same Connection page and make sure Google Merchant Center fields are populated. If you encounter any error during the setup process, take a screenshot and share it with me.
Looking forward to your response. 🙂
So you are asking me to do the very thing that I was trying to do but couldnt do??? Thats the whole reason why I posted here
Can you please go back to the beginning of my thread and see that I cannot connect in order to setup Google for WooCommerce?
Hello JennWin,
Thank you for your reply.
I understand that you are unable to complete the setup process.
I asked you to try again because I want to check for the errors.Since no errors are appearing on the front end, I suggest you open the browser’s console tab and check for JavaScript errors. I suspect there is a problem with AJAX requests that are sent by JavaScript.
Please share screenshots of the Console with me.Once I have more information, I will be in a better position to assist you further.
Best regards.
here is what i see, I have tried doing this in both safari and chrome, it is unlikely that it is a browser issue.
Hello JennWin,
Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.
I can see that you are facing an error: Store “core/interface” is already registered.
This is a known issue and our devs are working on the solution. However, this should not affect the Google for WooCommerce configuration process.
To help you further, could you do these two things?
1- Check if this error is appearing on other WP Admin pages.
2- Share the System Status Report with me.Once I have more information, I will be in a better position to assist you further.
Looking forward to your response. 🙂
