• I have spent all day looking for a solution, but cannot find one. There is no problem with my wordpress site or plugins; I’m just looking for a reporting solution. When a customer places an order on my website (via woocommerce plugin) they are redirected to PayPal for the payment. The order is then updated in my woocommerce dashboard. I click on the PayPal order email to purchase and print a USPS shipping label. When looking at the PayPal “Recent Activity” the orders are totally separate from the USPS shipping charges, and the ONLY way to find out what order the shipping charge is connected to is by manually clicking on shipment charge and scrolling down to the bottom of the transaction details page. It lists the “Ship to” (name & address), but has no reference number in common with the order. Further, PayPal’s reports do not have any common reference number, name, or address. I downloaded a CSV report with every field added, and there is no common reference number, name, or address to allow me to connect the order to the shipment.

So the only way for me to accurately calculate the actual shipping costs is to manually click on each shipment line item within PayPal’s “Activity” page, and look in the transaction details. The PayPal support team confirmed this limitation and agreed that it is very inconvenient. I have hundreds of orders that I need to calculate royalties for (Gross Sale – PayPal Fee – Actual Shipping Charge = Net Revenue). Is there anyone else that has found a solution to connect orders with the shipping charges?

  • Hi Josh

Sorry to ask, I think I may have a solution for you but just want to check before I suggest it. So you are wanting to find a common reference number that ties the order in wordpress to the transaction in paypal? and you want to pull the shipping charge from each transaction?
