• I’ve got the plugin installed and for the most part all works well. Having one issue with the facebook Connect button.

When a user clicks the connect button, they are presented with the FB login screen as normal, but once they fill in their email and pass and click login, they are sent to the WordPress registration form instead of automatically logging in and going about their business.

My WordPress is connected to the correct facebook application.
    All app key’s etc match
Tried changing the facebook app setting with regards to the domain. Tried every combination.
    All plugins are activated.

Any is why this is occurring?

    site is: http://www.socialmediapowered.com

I am using the thesis theme and just beginning to build it out. wonder if I need to include the shortcode in my custom php instead of using the widget?

    Regards,

    Patrick

SFC-Register is what does this. If the user already has an account, they need to first login normally, then go to Users->Your Profile and use the button there to connect their existing account to Facebook. Then they’ll be able to login.

SFC 1.0 will do email matching to prevent this issue.

is there a way to just have them login vs register? I enabled the login plugin but see no widget. I tried the shortcode, I forget what it was, but it was doing the same thing.

I can see that the button does log me into FB but it still takes the user to my registration page. I’m only wanting the login functionality. I’ve tried the shortcode fb-connect, is there another/different shortcode i need to use?
