Confusion with migrating theme to web host

I have been testing and customizing a theme I downloaded, locally, with a BitNami WordPress stack. It’s pretty much ready to go. I installed WP in my friends Go Daddy hosting account. I uploaded the theme folder into the themes directory and my plug-ins to the plug-ins dir. But I am uncertain of two things- how can I make the index page of the new theme, the default for the site and how can I get to the dashboard for this word press installation on Go Daddy. Or are these questions for Go Daddy? Is it possible that some config files or DNS settings are wrong because I was testing the theme on BitNami?

You have to install WordPress on goDaddy first. Then activate the plug-in through admin panel.

Edit wp-config-sample.php and place all the unnecessary data there and rename it to wp-config.php

After uploading the WordPress do the following
    http://yourDomain.com/
The installation will begin > complete it.

    them go the http://yourDomain.com/wp-admin/

    to Dashboard

Under appearance select your theme and activate.

your theme you created should have index, php so what ever you were using for default page needs to be named index.php

To go to dashboard you use
http://domain name/wp-admin if installed in root or
http://domain name/folder/wp-admin if installed in folder
