    Hello!
I’ve read all the documentation on this plugin multiple times and I still can’t wrap my head around how this works. I’m using Akismet and have recently been hit with a lot of comment spam. I’m getting anywhere from 500 to 1000 spam comments a day. Fortunately, Akismet catches it. However, I installed AVH so I wouldn’t have to be emptying the spam queue all day, everyday.

Just installed this plugin about 45 minutes ago and there is currently 199 items in the IP cache log. It says 190 are “Ham” and 9 are “Spam”.

What I’m confused about, is now that these comments aren’t going into the spam queue from Akisment, and I can’t actually READ or SEE what the comments say, how do I know if they really are ham or spam?

I’m not sure what the purpose of the cache is and how to handle it’s contents, since I can’t actually READ these blocked comments for myself. Do I automatically assume they are bad and blacklist them?

Maybe I’m missing how this works altogether, but I’m concerned that items marked as “ham” (or even spam), which are a lot, could be legitimate comments?

    Thank you for your time,
    AC
