 * I am trying to understand whether this plugin will work to improve our currently
   embedded Google calendars. But after spending some time with it today I am still
   a bit confused as to how I can improve on the Google styling. I would greatly
   appreciate any advice.
 * So, initially, I noticed two things that actually seem to be less than what I
   am getting out of the box with a Google embed.
 * First, differentiation between All Day events and Timed events. When you choose
   a color in Google calendar it uses that color for the background of All Day events.
   Timed events have no background color instead using the selected color as a dot
   to the left of the events. But Pretty Google Calendar (PGC) seems to set both
   All Day events and Timed events to the same color. Is there any way I can set
   All Day events and Timed events to different colors using PGC, even if they are
   just as I described with Google?
 * Second, when Google calendar has several events on a single day it displays only
   a subset of them with a “X more” link that, when clicked, has a popup with all
   of that day’s events listed. Can I do that with PGC or does it always display
   all events and expand the row to fit them?
 * Thanks in advance for any assistance! This seems like a very cool plugin and
   I hope we can use it in our projects.

 * Hmmm, after posting this I revisited the demos over at FullCalendar and I see
   both of the issues I mentioned above seem to be working as expected (as compared
   to Google calendar) so I am hoping this is just me not knowing how to set up
   these properties yet!

 * Howdy!
 * With Google’s recent (and loooooong-overdue) re-vamp of embedded calendars, it
   may fit your purposes entirely, and this plugin may be superfluous.
 * As to your specific concerns:
 * 1) Look at: [https://fullcalendar.io/docs/eventDisplay](https://fullcalendar.io/docs/eventDisplay)
   which this plugin by default sets to block (because I like it that way ;-).
 * 2) Look at [https://fullcalendar.io/docs/dayMaxEvents](https://fullcalendar.io/docs/dayMaxEvents).
 * To adjust either of these, you’ll need to use the `fc_args` shortcode argument:

 * Enjoy!

 * Thank you for that help! Both of those tips worked.
 * However, I am still not getting the look of the Full Calendar month grid which
   has a colored dot to the left of each timed event and the time and title on the
   same line. Pretty Google Calendar seems to be doing 2 columns and other formatting.
   Is it possible to get it to display like Full Calendar? Thanks for your assistance!!

 * Howdy! Without being able to see the site it’s hard to tell what’s going on.
   CSS from your theme will have an effect on the calendar, so it’s a matter of
   seeing what rules might be overriding the FullCalendar styling.

 * Hi! Thanks again!! To make this easier I put the Pretty Google Calendar on a
   simple site that has only 2 basic plugins, no custom styling and no content!
 * [https://petrichoric.com/pretty-google-calendar-test/](https://petrichoric.com/pretty-google-calendar-test/)
 * It seems to still be formatted as I showed you before. The dots are there but
   not the colors of the embedded Google calendar (as shown in the screenshot below).
   And the text does not look like Google or Full Calendar. Could this be as simply
   as the font site and/or title length?
 * Here is how this looks on an embedded Google calendar,

 * Any chance of further support on this? If not, that’s cool. But I’d like to be
   sure I’m using the plugin correctly.

 * Howdy! Unfortunately, we don’t have time to help you figure out the CSS you need
   to meet your particular requirements right now.
 * Apologies. We do try to help when we can, but this is also outside of our scope
   of support. You would have better luck working with a developer who can tweak
   your sites CSS for you.

 * Thanks for your response! When you said “Without being able to see the site it’s
   hard to tell what’s going on.” I thought you might help if I showed you the issue
   on a perfectly clean installation. But given the recent improvements to the Google
   calendar I guess this plugin won’t provide any significant improvements for our
   project anyway. Thanks again!
