Confused about Hourly and Daily backup settings

    First, thank you for creating this awesome plugin. I am bit confused about the settings. What will happen if I set to the different options with scenarios below?

    1) 2 Hourly and 0 Daily
    2) 0 Hourly and 2 Daily
    3) 2 Hourly and 2 Daily

    Does “2 Hourly” means backing up every 2 hours? But what will “2 Daily” option have affect on “2 Hourly” option if it is limited to 2 backups everyday?

    Hourly backup jobs run once every hour and Daily backup jobs run once a day. The number you enter will determine how many of the backup files of each type that you would like to save concurrently. In other words, it will delete the hourly backups older than the last 2, if 2 was the number of hourly backups you set. So if you set 2 Hourly and 2 Daily backup jobs then it will backup once every hour and once a day keeping the last two of each type of backup.

    I think I will try to make sure that this is more clear in my next release. Please let me know if you have any more questions or feedback on this plugin.

    Hi Eli,

    Thanks for the detailed explanation, now it makes sense. I think it might be less confusing if the options are set like:

    Backup every:____ hours (daily: 24, weekly: 168 cause it’s 24 x 7)
    Number of backup files to keep: _____ (0 means infinite)

    So there won’t be redundancy for choosing between hourly or daily backups.
