Using WordPress

I know I’m new to WordPress, and every one says it’s easy. But I’m confused, because easy it is not.

When I original began to learn about web design in the 1990’sI new that a web site consisted of a home page and other pages were connected with sub pages also connected, and information was inserted onto the pages.

In WordPress I learn about posts and pages. What I have yet to learn is where it all goes. Imagine building a house. Information is given on how to build a window with all dimensions, walls with dimensions, kitchen with all dimensions, roof etc. Every item is laid out. But nowhere is there a plan as where everything is correctly placed.

All tutorials tell how to build posts and blocks etc. But none say where they should go to make a site.

Amy I alone in my confusion?
