 * Hi,
 * I’m very new to wordpress and have a question regarding themes and or posts (
   I’m not entirely sure where this question belongs). I am using the pixel theme.
   I wanted to create a post without the sidebar. I noticed that I can do so with
   a Page but not a regular Post. Is this a limitation of the theme or of wordpress?
   I hope I am making sense….

 * Generally, Themes do not have custom templates for _Posts_. The templating system
   is generally set up only to support custom templates for _static Pages_.
 * It is _possible_ for Themes to implement custom per-post templates, but it is
   non-trivial to implement; it would require adding a custom metabox, store custom
   metadata, and change the layout/style/output based on those custom data.
 * The vast majority of Themes don’t support this functionality.

 * Ok so let me spin another question. The reason I wanted this particular item 
   to be a post rather than a page is that the comment system is not integrated 
   onto Pages. I am assuming this is yet another Theme issue. Is there an easy (
   and by easy I mean so simple even a caveman could do it) way to put the comment
   functionality onto Pages?

 * This is no longer an issue as I have changed to a theme which meets my needs 
   somewhat better. 🙂
