    Hi,

Since woocommerce 3.5.2 we have a strange user authorisation conflict with woocommerce activated. The conflict disappears when woocommerce is de-activated.

A user with authorisation edit_users suddenly cannot edit users when woocommerce is activated.

I use User_Role_Editor to define user authorisations beyond the standard roles.

The specific user is also shop manager. The conflict disappears also when the shop manager role is de-activated for that user.

    Is this a know problem?
    Is there a solution?

    Regards,
    Toon

    Hi Toon,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We actually recommend using the User Role Editor plugin in combination with several of our plugins, like Memberships. There shouldn’t be any conflicts with WooCommerce.

Just to be sure, I quickly ran a test on my development site, and I was able to edit users with the Shop Manager role + editing abilities just fine.

This leads me to believe there’s some sort of conflict going on with your setup. Here are the troubleshooting steps we’d recommend taking for this: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/

Additionally, you can also reach out in the User Role Editor forums if you think it’s strictly pertaining to that: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/user-role-editor

They’ll likely have you run through conflict troubleshooting as well. Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
