So, I get this message in the back end:

The EME SEO setting for events or locations is conflicting with an existing page that is not the special events page. This might cause problems rendering either events or that page. If that is the case, please resolve the conflict by either changing your EME SEO settings or the permalink of the conflicting page.

I would like to clarify what triggers this message. I presume the issue is duplicate permalinks. But where is EME checking for duplicates? Is it looking only in the eme events or locations tables or is it also looking in the wordpress posts table?

Or does this message simply mean that there is another record in the posts table that has the same slug as the value set in the EME SEO tab (i.e., “events” by default)?

If the latter is the case, I do have a duplicate, the other record having the URL https://www.mysite.com/?p=wxyz. It doesn’t point to an existing page. I suppose it is left over from an old event management system that I don’t use any more. There is no other record with the ID wxyz. I suppose I can just delete that row in the database, no?

It indeed simply means that there is another record in the posts table that has the same slug as the value set in the EME SEO tab
