    Hi,

I’ve created a portfolio with WPBakery Page Builder. Layout used is the overlay (gradient), and button is enabled and is linked to an external page (as opposed to the project page). See link provided. Mouseover the images. Person on left is linked to yahoo.com. The icon link works, but button does not. Person on right is linked to a different page on web site. Again, icon link works, but button adds a space (%20) to the end of the url and doesn’t work properly.

Deactivating the CM Tooltip Glossary plugin restores the portfolio button functionality. Could you please look into this and put out a fix?

    Thanks,

    David

    Hi David,

Sorry to hear that you’re facing issue. That’s quite strange that the parser adds the HTML encoded space at the end of the urls of all things. Especially when other links on the same page are not affected. Can you try to wrap the content of this page with [glossary_exclude] shortcode to see if that helps?

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Wrapping the page with [glossary_exlude] resolved the issue. Will you be putting out a permanent fix for this?

    Hi,

Just to add to my previous reply, wrapping the page in [glossary_exclude] solves the button issue in the test page I posted the link to, but in the working page (which will eventually be the live page), it creates a narrow white gap across the top of the page. Unlike the test page, the working page has quite a few other WPBakery elements in it.

    Hi David,

Thanks for confirming that. Unfortunately page builders and our Tooltip Glossary parser often are not playing nicely with each other. And with so many different builders on the market we need to individually approach each case which takes time, so we add the support for builders to our Pro versions only. And for free version using [glossary_exclude] shortcode is the best available workaround.

    Hi,

Thank you for looking into this. I’ll note the workaround in case I need it, but as it solves one problem and creates another where I need it, I’ll not use it and just omit the button for now. As WPBakery is bundled with most WP themes (or at least with every theme that I’ve ever used), perhaps you’ll eventually decide to hard code a fix in a future update for the free version.

    David
