Cannot save for Post Types when this plugin is activated. When WP-SpamShield is deactivated PO keeps savings.

Not so small problem as it has over 100.000 active installs.
PO needs to be constantly monitored on all sites, loses settings easy.

Sorry. But I was responding to your “personal attacks” in kind.

Jeff, that’s simply not true, but you can choose to see it however you like. We were minding our own business. We’re going to respond if someone posts incorrect information.

Quote all the code you like, but when you take it out of context, it’s meaningless. I’m sorry that you don’t understand the functionality, but I don’t have enough time to explain it to you here.

Like I said, if you want to act like a professional, contact us in private, and we’ll be happy to discuss.

I understand what you did perfectly. And I explained exactly what you are doing. You are preventing plugin organizer from disabling your plugin on any page. Just like you said you are doing. By doing that you incorrectly restructured the posted data.

    @foomagoo

    You have a partial understanding.

You are preventing plugin organizer from disabling your plugin on any page.

    Yes, I already explained that.

By doing that you incorrectly restructured the posted data.

No, that’s where you don’t understand.

Jeff, you’re just running in circles here. If you keep posting false info about WP-SpamShield, I will respond and correct you. But, this does not help anyone.

Again, if you want to discuss like a professional, and work out compatibility issues, you are welcome to contact us.

Version 9.2.2 is available. That fixes the bug.

What are you doing, both of you.
Installing/activating one plugin disable/delete other one.

You both will be kicked out from repository if you do not cool down.

Take it in private channels with core team and they can advise you how to continue. It is stupid.
I noticed today morning one problem with plugin updates I never had before. Hope it has nothing to do with your games.

I have stopped releasing countermeasures to prevent their malicious code and have reported them to the WordPress admins to have them force the author of WP-Spamshield to remove theirs. I just released version 9.2.4 of Plugin Organizer that removes the code to deactivate WP-Spamshield. I could continue to release countermeasures but I have some ethics and don’t want to damage anyones site. Sorry for the childish behavior but I had no choice considering their actions to remove my plugin from everyone’s site.

Here’s a clue to what may be happening on your site. It is an error related to the zip file that was downloaded when your server tried to extract it.

    Okay. Plugin Team Rep here.

If your plugins don’t play nice together, then don’t just play a passive aggressive disabling game. Throw a warning. “Plugin X does not work with our plugin. You can disable their plugin here.”

Allow the USERS to decide which is more important.

Is this plugin dangerous? Yes, it can be, if a user unwittingly orders things in a way that breaks their site. It should have a better warning. Would this plugin break security plugins? Yeah, totally, their effectiveness is lessened when you change the order of things like that.

I would recommend you both just show warnings, explain that the other plugin conflicts, and call it a day.

While you’re both permitted to play passive-aggressive games and shut each other’s plugins down on activation, I can’t think of a time when that ended well for ANYONE involved, least of all the end users.
