    Hello there,

    if I use Visual Copmposer on a site, the collapse does not work and the shortcode is visible.
    On the samee site, if I don’t use VC, everything is fine.

    Is there a workaround?

    What element are you placing the shortcode in?
    Are you using the TEXT editor or the Visual Editor in the element block?
    Can you share a link where it is NOT working?

    Hi,

    I try both with:
    – text editor, text format
    – text editor, html format
    – html code directly

    I have created a one-time link where you can get the actual link for privacy issues (hope no one else clicks on this):
    https://privnote.com/HCMFldkM#cjDCXa0sG

    If you didn’t get it, can I send it by e-mail?

    At this momment the code is with HTML module of VC.

    Thanks.

    Got the link, thanks (and cool way to share it!)
    OK, it seems you are inserting an image in your title?
    Can you share the exact shortcode you are using?

    Hi,

    This is my code:

    <div align="center">
    [expand title="<img src='https://xxxx/image.png' />" tag="div" trigclass="noarrow" rel="bcsa-highlander"]test[/expand]
    </div>

    Also I add a simple code after my code on the same link:
    [expand title="trigger text"]hidden content[/expand]

    I add it both in the HTML module and the text module. The last one, with text mobule, did work.

    – – –

    So Î try to re-add the first code (with the image) using the text area of the text module and that also didn’t work.

    I believe this is a problem with the image part of the code.

    Do you agree?

    Yup, it seems like the Visual Composer is reformatting the double/single quotes so that your sweet-sweet code:

    <div align="center">
    [expand title="<img src='https://xxxx/image.png' />" tag="div" trigclass="noarrow" rel="bcsa-highlander"]test[/expand]
    </div>

    gets rendered as:

    <div align="center">
    [expand title="<img src="https://xxxx/image.png" />" tag="div" trigclass="noarrow" rel="bcsa-highlander"]test[/expand]
    </div>

    No good…

    Let’s try this workaround using the roll-your-own method:

    <img src="https://xxxx/image.png" class="collapseomatic noarrow" id="some_id" title="Hover over Trigger Text" rel="bcsa-highlander"/>
    <div class="collapseomatic_content" id="target-some_id">test</div>

    Do you follow?

    Hi,

    Yes I follow, and indeed that works!

    Not sure if this is something that you can correct on the plugin, but, this is a suitable workaround.

    Thanks for your help!

    PS: I already reviewed the plugin 5 stars before, so I can’t do it again. 😛
