• I have started designing my site using the last version of Visual Composer and there is much problems, not limited the Customizr theme I am using, as the problem persist when I switch to default WP theme. Using the front end editor, some design settings of rows get back to default after few savings of the page, loosing padding and margins previously saved. The bing thing is the customize theme page preview is all fucked up, header showing up in double; content of the page in preview section not showing properly. I can not even have access to the sections of the menu, clicking each item does nothing. Even if I turn off all other plugins, the problems persists. To bad I can not attached screen shot of what I am refering to.

• You’re not alone. I updated a site using Czr Pro/VC yesterday and suffered problems, in particular, kept getting a jquery script error and similar symptoms.

This morning, I switched to TwentyTwelve and things were not right. So my next step will be to report to VC.

Reporting to VC is the only thing to do. You’ll have to give them access to your site so they can check that out.
I’ll keep posted for any resolution of the problem.
Good luck

The problem is reallly with VC. If I change the home page to another page with no VC design elements, everything get back to normal in the theme customizer and in the preview window. I can easily navigate in the different menu items and save the settings, which was difficult to do when the VC created home page was activated. As I have created this home page from one of VC templates, I decided to recreated the same design form sratch on a new page in case this would make a difference. After one row of designing elements, the options desing settings returned to default right after the second save. So I havee to forget about having the design I thought about with VC. I fear that they will not be able to solve these major problems soon. I think I have to forget about using VC altogether and ask fo a refund of the purchase I made this week.

I sent them a Duplicator zip of my site to test with. So they are doing something.

Hi community,

WPBakery just told me that there is a problem with Visual Composer. Their jquery ui tabs, accordion and tour are not fully compatible with the WordPress customizer! But they do sell the product without disclozing this important fact. I don’t know what to think of it.

Hi community,

WPBakery just told me that the problem comes from the fact that their jquery ui tabs, accordion and tour are not fully compatible with the WordPress customizer! Can you imagine?
And they still didn’t say anything about the automatic resets of the design settings of rows and boxes after the second or third save of the page. ;-(
They sell the product without disclozing these important facts. I don’t know what to think of it.

Thanks for that. I’ve been sending them diagnosis files and keeps coming back ‘no problem found’.

I’m launching an updated site on Sunday and it has taken me 2d to claw my way to a working solution. But I know there is a jquery issue somewhere. One of those situations where reworking has led to a more robust solution and broadened my VC understanding, but it has been very frustrating.

Happy that you found a way out through the problems you encountered.

The jquery being not fully compatible with the WordPress customizer is something I can work around now that I know.
Did you encountered automatic resets of design settings in rows and boxes? If so, how did you managed to work around this issue?

Thanks

Afraid not. My symptom was that I kept getting a script error every time I tried the Frontend Editor which killed my (powerful) PC.

Let me know if you find anything else. My site has launched today which is a relief!

Did anyone find a solution for WPBakery Visual Composer causing the jquery error? I’m using a different theme, CrossWay Multipage <http://demo.whoathemes.com/?theme=crossway>, but getting what sounds like the same errors. Crossway Multipage is also a paid theme that came with WPBakery Visual Composer.

Pages I’ve used the Visual Composer on gives the error ReferenceError: jQuery not defined. Pages without Visual Composer do not give the error

rdellconsulting, JossOne, what did you do to work around the jquery incompatability issue?

Thanks!

I don’t ever edit my pages with the front end editor.
