Conflict with Theme Newspaper and Jetpack

    Hello,

    First I want to say that your plugin TablePress is amazing, it has all the features that I needed. Unfortunately I have a compatibility problem. There is a conflict with the Jetpack and Theme Newspaper from themeforest.net

    -WordPress 5.2
    -Theme Newspaper – version: 9.7.2 (The Best Selling News and Magazine Theme)
    -Jetpack

    Everything works great except that no images appear on entire page and the search button does not work (theme search button no TablePress).
    I’ve spent a few hours trying to solve this problem, but my knowledge is insufficient 🙂

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    From what I can see from the JavaScript errors in the error log console in the browser, this is caused by the “td_composer” plugin that you are using. In the JavaScript file /wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/js_dev/tdModalPostImages.js it’s trying to call a “magnificPopup” function, which is however not loaded.

    Thank you for your quick response, unfortunately td-composer is main and official part of the template. I can’t turn it off or delete :/

    Is there any possibility of changes in TablePress that will eliminate the conflict?

    Hi,

    there is no conflict here. That td_composer plugin simply has a bug. They need to fix this JavaScript file, so that I recommend that you contact their support team about this.
    Nothing can be changed in TablePress to fix this. Note that this actually creates a problem with all plugins on your site that want to use JavaScript code.

    Hi,

    It should be useful to other users.
    Problem is only when the plugin “tagDiv Speed Booster” is turned on.

    You need to uninstall it and install another similar one, for example “Speed ​​Booster”, which can be freely configured.
    Thanks to this, TablePress works without a problem with the popular Newspaper template 🙂
