conflict with Snitch (plugin)

i use Snitch to monitor outgoing connections

when i published a post, this caused a huge problem in that my WP instance started flooding the Mastodon instance with hundreds of ‘toots’ in rapid succession

each of the toots contained a URL like https://<domain>/snitch/<number> where the ‘number’ incremented by +1 each time and each one linked to the post i had just made

development on Snitch seems to have died, so that’s why i’m posting here

also i noticed that i didn’t have this issue with another Mastadon auto=post plug
