Hello, I ran into an a few errors after updating Slider Revolution to 6.2.2. I can edit and apply sliders however they do not appear on the page. In the console log I get the error “Uncaught ReferenceError: setREVStartSize is not defined”. as well as several “Uncaught SyntaxError: missing } after function body :1:351 note: { opened at line 1, column 14”.

After disabling every other plug in to try and track down the problem. The issue is resolved after I disable “WP Hide & Security Enhancer”. I made the sure “WP Hide & Security Enhancer” was updated fully (it’s currently at Version 1.6.0.9).

I’ve tried both WordPress version 5.4 an 5.5

    Hi,
Can you try to clear the site cache?
If still not working, a wp-hide option might produce the issue for your site, try to disable some of the options to figure out which is the one. I would say to start with WP_Hide > General / HTML > HTML > Minify -> set to NO, WP_Hide > General / HTML > HTML > Remove Comments -> set to NO, WP_Hide > Rewrite > Plugins > Don’t fill the option for Revolution slider.

After options changes, always clear the site cache.

    Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. I did clear the all of the caches and that didn’t seem to work. I even duplicated our site and rebuilt everything to try and narrow it down.

I turned off Minify and it worked. So far I’ve tested on Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and mobile Safari and that seems to have fixed it. Do you think the problem is with the change to Slider Revolution or the WordPress 5.5? I’m wondering if I should let them know about the conflict so they can warn others or implement a patch.

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Yes, the minification functionality might not work with specific code, in this particular scenario, the Rev slider.
In such a case, you should not use the option, is not a critical one so should not affect the main purpose of the plugin.

    Thanks
