Hello! I’ve been using Events Manager and Photo Galleria (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/photo-galleria/) both on a website without issue until the lately. With the latest version of each plugin, the galleries simply don’t show up. (The default galleries do, but I have them hidden with CSS.) It seems that the Photo Galleria JS doesn’t load when EM is active. I double-checked that PG is compatible with all my other plugins, and then in a last-ditch attempt, I reverted back to EM 5.3.6.1 and the galleries worked just fine.
Is there something that might cause the issue that I don’t know about? Something in my settings, maybe? I’d prefer to stay up-to-date on all my plugins, but if I have to, I’ll stick with the version that works.

Thanks for reading this, and thanks for a fantastic plugin! It’s been a life-saver!

actually, haven’t tried that plugin before but can I know if you’re getting any javascript error or it’s just doesn’t load?

There aren’t any JS errors that I can see, at least in Firebug. The Photo Galleria JS just doesn’t seem to be there. It should be loading two files (one for the gallery and one for the gallery theme), but neither show up when the latest version of EM is activated.

when EM is activated, is it working on other wp pages/post and only in events pages you have an issue?

also, how about checking Settings > General > Performance Optimization > Limit JS file loading / Limit loading of our CSS files

Thanks for the quick reply again! I really appreciate you helping me. 🙂

But no, the issue is on every page of the site. I don’t mix the galleries and the events at all. Galleries are only in regular posts.

Just checked my EM settings, and I’ve already got it set to limit both the JS and CSS loading. Turned that off and on again (just in case) and no change.

we don’t purposefully prevent any files from loading, the only thing we may do is just not load something.

given it’s a popular plugin, we’ll give it a shot ourselves and see if we can fix it if we reproduce the issue, will need a few days and will get back to you

Hi Marcus, thanks for the response! I’d never suspect that you’d purposely build something like that into your plugin, and I’m still not sure if the issue lies inside EM or PG. I was thought I’d post here since they were both working great until I updated to the latest version of EM.

Thanks so much for looking into this!

I am also experiencing this issue. I have noticed that when Event Manager is enabled, that Photo Galleria’s shortcode functions no longer load correctly, I’m still trying to pin down the exact conflict, but I am not having any luck.

hmm, can’t get this to worked either even when I disabled all plugins including EM and used TwentyTwelve theme.

funnily enough, it could be due to this problem (which has a solution) – http://wordpress.org/support/topic/fancy-gallery-issue-when-update-event-manager-537?replies=8#post-4078492

let me know if that helps!

That worked! Thanks so much for the help!

    glad it’s working now.

we modified the way we hook into the gallery shortcode to make it work better with jetpack tiled galleries.

atm, i think there’s two possible solutions here ….

    1. Use the suggestion in the link above
    2. If your plugin has a shortcode other than gallery, try using that instead.
